Open House
If you’re looking for our usual Breakfast interview, don’t worry — an installment will run next Friday, 11/21. Due to the labor-intensive requirements of serving Breakfast each week, the series is moving to a bi-weekly schedule. On the off weeks, we now have Open House, a roundup of interesting posts from the other blogs of Creative Construction community members. Enjoy!
- Suzanne Kamata published her first picture book.
- Suzanne Kamata also observed a woman nursing someone else’s baby.
- Brittany Vandeputte has several agents interested in her manuscript, but has been too sick to finish her revisions.
- Elizabeth Beck sold a bunch of paintings to a woman in a big hurry.
- Kelly Warren got caught in a downpour at her road show and had to change in the minivan.
- Anita Davies is learning how to pole dance.
- BetsyG shared her Wellbutrin journey.
- Liz Hum is going strong on NaNoWriMo.
- Lisa Damian is singing Old MacDonald with a few interesting twists.
See you next week!

i want to share some good news re: creativity: even if i didn’t do much on ms this week, i have been doing a lot of writing and received an invitation last night to speak to a local hs creative writing class! i can’t wait!
oh, smart thing! …
great idea to fill in with a happy blog recap …. thanks for including me ….
Are men allowed to join in here; I’m a gentle poet from the Cambridgeshire Fens?
Hi Mark, yes, you are quite welcome here! So long as you don’t mind listening to a bunch of creative mothers going on about their challenges and successes 🙂 We do have the occasional comment from a male reader, but no male bloggers yet. If you have thoughts on parenting as a creative person, however, feel free to chime in.
I love this idea, Miranda! Thanks for including me! Cathy, congrats on the HS presentation!
Glad you guys like the Open House idea. I think we’ll have some fun with it.
I’d love to see this Open House idea become a regular installment. Great idea, and thanks for the shout-out.
Cathy, congrats and good luck with the creative writing presentation!
