What are your plans for creative practice this week? It’s holiday time, so enjoy a broad brush when it comes to creativity: cooking, baking, decorating inside and out, making gifts, making cards, getting creative with wrapping, savoring the magic, finding ways to enjoy the small moments of each day.
Share your goal(s) as a comment to this post, and let us know how things went with your creative plans for last week, if you posted to last week’s Monday Post.

I did the mindfulness meditation at 6 am one morning with candles and incense and it was such a nice way to start the day. Did some journaling afterward. I’m ultimately aiming for more than 1X a week, but just trying to get myself hooked on it right now… Creative endeavors are all Christmas-related – gotta get crackin’!!!

This week I am getting back to an early wakeup. While my husband was away, I drifted off of my usual routine and have been seriously missing the benefit of early morning practice. Last night I set my intention to wake up early, and amazingly, I woke up on my own at 4:50 and was ready to start the day! Everything is so much better when I take care of those important things — meditating, journaling, reading Rumi, planning the day — before it’s time to ramp up into action.

oh my goodness, i thought i posted on monday!
since my last post, did manage to squeeze in one edit session with my writing group on tuesday, if it weren’t for our writing days, i would never open the manuscript these days.
maybe when my boys are gone for break, i may be able to finish the thing in a couple of committed days. now to commit to them, but that is next week.
otherwise, holiday mayhem, new job, and taking care of the bullying situation and #2’s school has reached a climax. it’s all flying down the rollercoaster to new year from here. and a little blogging.
actually, week after next…see what i mean? lol
