I used to worry about this a lot more too. For me, crossing into my 40’s has helped me care a lot less about what other people think. I now wish I hadn’t wasted so much time and energy worrying about offending others. I like the maxim: In terms of taking offense at your work, those who matter don’t care, and those who care don’t matter.
