“If not now, when?”
— Mark Nepo

This is the moment to deepen, or commit to, your regular creativity practice. Regularity — a daily practice, if at all possible — is key.

So what are your plans for creative practice this week? Given the specifics of your schedule, decide on a realistic intention, goal, or a milestone to reach for — and plan that time in your calendar. An intention as simple as “I will be creative for 10 minutes every day” or “I will gesso three canvases on Wednesday” is what it’s all about.

Share your intentions or goals as a comment to this post, and let us know how things went with your creative plans for last week, if you posted to last week’s Monday Post.

  1. Namaste!
Well, things are certainly getting done around here and I’m having a lot of fun, but I haven’t been setting intentions and keeping track. It’s been more of a pick-what-needs-to-be-harvested and make-what-needs-to-be-made creative practice.
    This week
    – make rhubarb pie
    – do Simplicity Parenting ecourse homework
    – make yoga skirt for niece’s birthday
    – weed and slight redesign of lavender garden bed
    – spend a bit of time on new website (I’m feeling this out as I go, deciding if I’m ready to play bigger!)
    – Yoga – 4-5X
    – Bedtime yoga with kids – 2X

    Enjoy the week,
    Jane

      • My intention has been to accept the willy-nillyness (ahem, really a word…ish…) of the summer schedule and get back to goal setting and blogging post-Labor Day. I didn’t really intend to take a whole summer off, but such is life. You’ll see me here again soon! xoxo
